Having a Great Art Life

The art life has been very good to me. I have been lucky to maintain my mission to be an artist every day. I just think of all of the art projects that I have done and all of the art projects I want to do. I try to acknowledge my good fortune on a regular basis. I have not had to do work that I dread for a long time. I would rather lift my paint brush and welding torch, than a pick or shovel any day. I have had all kinds of jobs in my younger days. Little by little I found my way out of those dead end jobs, to do something more meaningful. It's just a good feeling to make stuff, it's a good way to show I spend my time. When people have my work that's even better. You can see me @www.freewebs.com/bobragland.

I just came across your site through the Fine Artists Studio newsletter. What a great philosophy this post as well as your other posts express. I have some of the same thoughts, but I have trouble living up to them...
