Rejection

Artists should learn to make rejection a friend. Rejection can be a positive thing, after all look at all of the well known writers who had a wall of rejection slips, until they made the right submission that clicked. I have had my share of rejections from exhibitions , but I entered them at a later date and was excepted. Rejection should make an artist figure out another way around the negative situation. Real artists learn to make rejection a friend.

Some Art Career Tricks

If you go to Craigslist/Art Forum you can see some art career tricks I have used to have a decent and continuous art career. Look for NSABOB, that's me.

Having a Great Art Life

The art life has been very good to me. I have been lucky to maintain my mission to be an artist every day. I just think of all of the art projects that I have done and all of the art projects I want to do. I try to acknowledge my good fortune on a regular basis. I have not had to do work that I dread for a long time. I would rather lift my paint brush and welding torch, than a pick or shovel any day. I have had all kinds of jobs in my younger days. Little by little I found my way out of those dead end jobs, to do something more meaningful. It's just a good feeling to make stuff, it's a good way to show I spend my time. When people have my work that's even better. You can see me @www.freewebs.com/bobragland.
